Just a few more days to go before 2022 comes to a close. Time for another wrap-up of the year. We asked Jeroen Kruisweg, managing director at ALD Automotive, how he reflects on last year.
"A remarkable year", according to Jeroen Kruisweg. "Although there were rumours, it was officially announced early this year that ALD Group intends to acquire LeasePlan. A great development, allowing us to join forces that will help accelerate sustainability and innovation in the mobility sector. The acquisition is not yet finalised, as such a process does not happen overnight. It probably does mean, however, that this is the last wrap-up of the year on behalf of ALD Automotive. Because the proposed acquisition will be accompanied by a new name, which will be announced next year".

Dear lease company
"I can look back on the year with satisfaction because, for example, we are in line to meet our sustainability ambitions. The share of EVs within our fleet is high. Even higher than in the other ALD countries. Used car sales were also favourable. But the commercial results are certainly not the only thing I am pleased about. In fact, I am especially proud of our employees. The icing on the cake are the two awards we received last month for Beste Leasemaatschappij van Vereniging Zakelijke Rijders . Our services are highly valued by both business and private lease drivers, and that is thanks to all those colleagues who, together with our partners, work hard every day for our customers and lease drivers".
New year, new mobility innovations
