General

1.     Why did ALD Automotive acquire LeasePlan?

By combining the strengths of both ALD Automotive and LeasePlan, we can transform the automotive and mobility sector. This will give us the best position to offer better and even more attractive services and solutions. 

2.     Who will be my new account manager/contact person?

For the time being, both brands will continue to exist alongside one another, and nothing will change in your partnership. So you can continue to communicate with your usual contact person at ALD Automotive. We will be happy to help you.

3.     What will change as a result of the acquisition?

ALD Automotive and LeasePlan will soon begin integrating into a single company, but both brands will continue to exist alongside one another for the time being. We will continue conducting our normal activities during the integration period. Our highest priority will still be to continue providing you with the collaboration and service that you have come to expect. We will inform you well in advance before any changes go into effect.

4.     Will the product selection change after the acquisition?

Nothing will change in the short term, because our priority is to maintain the continuity of our services. Eventually, we hope to combine and harmonise the best methods and products used by both entities, with consideration for the best solutions for you as a customer.

5.     As an existing ALD Automotive customer, can I also use a LeasePlan service, and vice-versa? 

This will be determined on a case-by-case basis, depending on the contractual and/or technical feasibility. Naturally, we would be happy to discuss the possibilities with you. 

6.     What will change for my organisation’s lease drivers?

For the moment, nothing will change for your lease car drivers. Both brands will continue to exist alongside one another for now, and the conditions, work processes and tools such as My ALD will remain unchanged. If any changes result in consequences for lease car drivers, we will notify them and you about the changes in advance.

7.     What consequences will this have for tools like My ALD?

You can continue to use the tools as you are accustomed to following the acquisition. We will notify you in advance before any changes are made to the tools.

 

Estimates, contracts and lease agreements

1.     Will my contract be converted to a new organisation?

Your contract with ALD Automotive will continue without changes to the terms and conditions. For the time being, both brands will continue to exist alongside one another, and nothing will change in your partnership. You will continue to be able to rely on the service you have become accustomed to. 

2.     I’ve received estimates from both ALD Automotive and LeasePlan. Are both estimates still valid?

Yes, estimates will remain valid for the term stated on the estimate. You can also continue to communicate via the established contact channels. We would be happy to advise you or answer any questions you may have about your estimates. 

3.     Will the prices for both companies be harmonised with one another?

ALD Automotive and LeasePlan will soon begin integrating into a single company, but both brands will continue to exist alongside one another for the time being. We will continue conducting our normal activities during the integration period, and of course we will abide by all of our contractual obligations. Harmonisation of prices is a process that will take some time to complete over the long term. Our current priority is to maintain the continuity of our services.

 

Suppliers

1.     What will change in the supplier strategy as a result of the acquisition? 

We will continue conducting our normal activities during the integration period. The contractual agreements will also remain unchanged for the time being, and you can continue to communicate with your usual contact person.

Scale is an important factor in automotive leasing. As a combined entity, we can significantly increase our purchasing capacity. This is a tangible benefit for every supplier.

We can imagine that some changes will be made to our purchasing strategy via an organised selection process over the long term. As a supplier, you will be informed of any such changes well in advance.

2.     Will the contract or payment conditions change as a result of the acquisition?

ALD Automotive will continue to abide by all current contracts. That means no changes will be made to the terms or payment conditions of our current contracts.

3.     I work with both ALD Automotive and LeasePlan. Can I send a single invoice for costs incurred by both LeasePlan and ALD Automotive to either LeasePlan or ALD Automotive?

For the time being, we ask that you send invoices for costs incurred by LeasePlan to LeasePlan, and costs incurred by ALD Automotive to ALD Automotive.
